Brighton vs West Ham Preview

Brighton v West Ham Preview

West Ham are coming off a fantastic game against Man Utd last week and they showed after what was a disappointing start, has now been left behind and in our opinion west ham will be overachievers in the premier league this season. Whereas Brighton is well in the bottom 5 teams at the moment with a record of 2-2-6 and things don’t look like they’re going to be changing any time soon lineups aren’t out yet but it’s going to be interesting how they setup tonight against a fast-improving west ham side.

Brighton Team News and Stats etc…

Glenn Murray is Brighton’s top scorer with 4 goals and is very much the flag bearer for them at the moment, but he isn’t going to be able to do that all season Murray does extremely well for his age come January this will start to show through.

Last 10 games – Brighton have scored 10 and conceded 20 which is not a great sign now west ham are finding the back of the net. They haven’t scored in 4 of those games and they have only kept one clean sheet as well. On a positive note, they have only lost 2 home matches in the last 10 drawing or winning 8. They have also scored in each of there last 3 home games so I think we can say this is probably a game for goals. Brighton does concede a lot late in the first half so that may be an angle you can take on this game in the last 3 games every goal Brighton has conceded has come 40’mins or later in the half. That’s also the same for the second half so you could look to lay the correct score or back another goal to be scored late on the added bonus of this is it will be very cheap to lay the score late on and hopefully West Ham not too far in front.

West Ham Team News and Stats etc…

Arnautovic is west hams top goalscorer with 4 goals also and he looks a force to be reckoned with great service by noble and co last week and they made Man Utd pay. They have turned things around from the start of the season and that’s well behind them now.

Last 10 games – goals-wise they are equal at 13-13 they have also kept 3 clean sheets which is outstanding given the start they had, and one of those games was Chelsea. They have scored 75% of there goals in the first half in there 3 away games so again it may be worth laying the Half Time CS or backing west ham to win the first half late if it’s still 0-0 around the 40’min mark. A the time of writing west ham are 3.6 on Betfair to win at HT. The Over 2.5 Goals market is 2.26 which is our opinion is rather high it may be worth waiting for in play to see how the teams come out the added advantage if the teams start slow you can take advantage of a bigger price. Under 3.5 Goals price 1.32 (Lay) which looks fantastic and maybe something, you could take advantage of very cheaply and you could trade out in the first half if there is a goal, again 75% of west hams goals are scored in the FH.

Summary of Potential Angles

Over 2.5 Goals

Over 3.5 Goals

Back West Ham to Win FH (Half Time Market)

(CS = Correct Score FH = First Half)
